The translation of technologies into products, within the available time and resources, is one of the startups' major challenges.

The mission of the Biomedical and Robotics Technologies Platform (BIROP) is to support and accelerate Wyss Zurich projects in their transfer to market, by providing multidisciplinary expertise and services, covering a range of core competences such as product development, engineering, industrial design, prototyping, design transfer and quality by design.

Through an interdisciplinary team, state-of-the-art mechatronic prototyping facilities, and network of external partners, the Biomedical and Robotics Technologies Platform provides a range of services as indicated below.
