The scientists financed by billionaire Hansjörg Wyss are expected to be risk-takers and innovative. A visit to the laboratories of the bold inventors.

The Wyss Translational Center Zurich, Hansjörg Wyss’ third institute, is designed to take academically mature regenerative medicine and robotics projects through the early stages of product development and clinical trials in patients. It is jointly headed by Simon Hoerstrup, UZH professor and physician, and Roland Siegwart, ETH professor and robotics specialist.
